Valorant round scene with enemy outlines visible through a wall from an ESP overlay

Valorant ESP Explained

ESP shows enemy positions through walls. Here is what that means in a tactical shooter like Valorant and what to think about before using it.

ESP stands for extra sensory perception. In a game like Valorant, that means an overlay that shows you enemy information you normally would not have, most commonly where enemies are standing, even behind walls.

What ESP shows

The exact display depends on the product, but ESP is usually about seeing enemy positions through walls. Some versions add things like boxes around players or other markers. Check the feature list of whatever you are considering to see what is actually included.

Why it matters in Valorant

Valorant is built around information. Defenders hold angles, attackers trade information with utility, and a lot of rounds come down to who knows where the other team is first. Knowing an enemy position before you commit changes the whole decision.

With ESP, a player can:

  • Avoid walking into a held angle they would normally have to guess at.
  • Decide when to take a fight and when to rotate.
  • Tell if a site is full or lightly defended before pushing in.
  • Time a peek instead of taking one blind.

Using it sensibly

The players who last longest with ESP tend to use it quietly. Pre-aiming every corner the instant an enemy shows up on the overlay looks obvious to teammates, spectators and anyone watching a replay. Using the information to choose smart positions, not to react perfectly every time, is a more careful approach.

The honest risk

ESP is against the rules of Valorant, and Riot’s anti-cheat and report system are active. Nothing about an overlay changes that. If you want the full picture, read how detection and bans work.

Pairing it with other features

Many players pair ESP with a lightly tuned aim assist. If that sounds like you, see our guide to aimbot settings. To see what is included with the ESP options, visit the Valorant cheat page.
